COLORADO SPRINGS – Following two convincing home wins over the weekend and a pair of standout performances, the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer duo of Bella Campos and Bella Torres have been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
 
For Campos, she earns her third career weekly honor from the RMAC and first since November 6 of last season. The senior from Highland Village, Texas had her way against two teams from her home state in matchups with Angelo State and St. Mary's. In Thursday night's 5-0 win over the Rambelles, Campos scored twice with an assist on five shots in an extremely productive 35 minutes of action. Sunday she repeated her performance in 3-1 win over the Rattlers, scoring twice more with an assist on a season-high 11 shots in 80 minutes. In the first four matches of the season, Campos has five goals and two assists for 12 points. She's now tied for second all-time at Mines in goals (55), third in points (127) and fourth in game-winning goals (14).
 
Torres claims the first weekly award of her career following a standout second weekend as a collegian. The freshman out of Lakewood scored her first two career goals, with one in each match. Thursday night against Angelo State Torres scored the third Mines goal of the night in the final 10 minutes of the first half, while Saturday her second half goal against St. Mary's was the first game-winner of her career. Torres was also a force defensively in the midfield, as she helped spearhead an effort that allowed just 19 total shots in two matches and just four shots on goal. She's the fifth different Oredigger since 2023 to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Mines (3-1-0) continues non-conference action this week as they hit the road for the first time in 2026 with trips to Chico State on Thursday and Western Washington Sunday.
