At the plate, finished the season hitting .417 while slugging .871 with 34 runs and 42 RBI on 55 hits including 16 doubles, one triple and 14 home runs ... 2021: Utility player for the Orediggers with work at first base, designated hitter and on the mound ... Made led the team with 12 appearances as a pitcher including 11 in relief and one start ... Closed the season 2-2 with an 8.54 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 26.1 innings of work while walking just seven batters ... At the plate, started 20 games with seven starts and batted .160 with one run on four hits including two doubles and two RBI ... Oredigger debut came in the season opener against MSU Denver on March 5 when he started as the designated hitter and finished the game on the mound, surrendering one run on two hits with five strikeouts in 3.0 innings while going hitless at the plate ... First hit for Mines was at CSU Pueblo on March 20 where he went 1-for-2 with a double ... Top offensive outing was a 2-for-4 performance featuring one RBI at CSU Pueblo on March 21 ... First win as an Oredigger pitcher came off a 3.0-inning, two-run, five-hit appearance which included two strikeouts at Regis on May 5 ... Lone start of the season was at #2-ranked Colorado Mesa on March 14 ... Produced a game ERA of 0.00 on four different occasions.
SAN JACINTO (2019-20): Appeared on the mound, at the plate and in the field at San Jacinto College in Texas … As a freshman, hit .270 with three doubles, three triples and two home runs for 23 RBI … Tossed 15 innings for a 1.20 ERA and 0.80 WHIP while surrendering just six hits and two earned runs with 19 strikeouts.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played first base and outfield while also pitching at Glenda Dawson High School in the Houston, Texas, area … Crowned the 2018 District MVP and 2017 First-Team All-District … Earned Dawons High School offensive and defensive MVP honors … Named 2018 Houston Area All-Star and 2018 Texas All-State … Played in the 2018 Texas High School All-Star game … As a senior, hit .480 with 14 doubles and 16 RBI while tossing 55 innings and boasting a 1.27 ERA behind 65 strikeouts … Played club ball for Mizuno Baseball USA, earning three Perfect Game All-Tournament honors … Graduated Cum Laude and earned the PCA Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship … Nominated by Dawson High School of the Wendy's High School Heisman Award … Graduated in the top 12 percent of his class and took home the Dawson High School Baseball Academic Award … Plans to major in electrical engineering at Mines.
