2016: NFFCC Second-Team All-Colorado ... Second-Team All-RMAC ... Mines' Iron Digger Award winner … Started 12 times in 13 appearances at cornerback … Compiled 44 tackles with 2.0 for a loss … Recovered a fumble at Ferris State … Had interceptions against Azusa Pacific and South Dakota Mines … Broke up 12 passes … Top production games included a 5-tackle, 1-TFL, 3-breakup day against Adams State and six tackles with an interception against Azusa Pacific.

2015: Honorable Mention All-RMAC … Made 39 tackles at cornerback … Tied for the team lead with two interceptions … Also recovered a fumble.

2014: Started seven games … Racked up 25 tackles (20 solo) with three interceptions … Had two picks against Western New Mexico and another versus Chadron … Had five break-ups overall … Made a season-high nine tackles (eight solo) against New Mexico Highlands.

2013: Appeared in 10 games with eight starts at cornerback… Finished 11th on team with 33 tackles (21 solo)… Recorded one tackle for loss (six yards)… Tied for team lead with two interceptions… Recorded three pass breakups… Five passes defended… Helped Mines to the RMAC-best and the seventh-best scoring defense in the country (17.0)… Helped Mines to the 15th-best pass efficiency defense (107.21) in the country… Helped Mines to the 19th-best third-down defense (0.324) in the country.

2012: Was a Mines football redshirt.

High School: Champagne lettered twice in football, twice in track & field and once in basketball as a prep for Cy-Fair H.S. in Cypress, Texas… Earned all-district honors as a senior… Earned the 2012 Cy-Fair Fighting Heart Award… Led team to a district championship as a junior and a senior, going undefeated during the regular season as a senior… Named to the honor roll all four years… Is the younger brother of former Oredigger Tevin Champagne.
