2017: Captain … ABCA/Rawlings Second-Team All-Region … First-Team All-RMAC … NCBWA Preseason All-Region … RMAC Preseason Player of the Year … Started all 54 games at second base … Hit .338 and slugged .557 … Drove in 32 RBI and scored a team-record 58 runs out of the leadoff spot … Got on base at a .413 clip … Walked 18 times … Had seven home runs, a team-high 17 doubles, and four triples … Stole two bases … Led Mines with 21 multi-hit games, including three four-hit outings … Notched Mines’ longest hitting streak of the season at 13 games … Recorded a .949 fielding percentage with 114 assists at second … Set the Mines season record with 210 at-bats … Ended his Mines career as the all-time leader in runs (191), fourth in career hits (228), third in doubles (49), and second in walks (75).

2016: First Team All-RMAC… named RMAC and South Central Player of the Week (4/12)… Preseason All-RMAC… played and started all 42 games at second base… posted a slash line of .346/.443/.562… had 56 hits, 54 runs, 16 doubles, two triples, five homeruns and 36 RBI… walked 18 times and was hit-by-pitch 12 times… had a .971 fielding % with only six errors… also turned 26 double plays… had 18 multi-hit games including five, three-plus hit performances… posted eight multi-RBI games... also stole five bases.

High School: Smith, a 5-10,180-pound infielder, was a three-year letter winner in baseball and a two-year letter winner in golf at Columbine High School. He earned Second Team All-Conference honors while earning Academic All-Conference honors on four occasions. He was also named Academic All-State during his junior hear. He led the CHS golf team to a seventh-place finish as a senior, and played club baseball for Littleton Batters Box. He intends to major in Mechanical Engineering at Mines.
