Justin Durnil

Justin Durnil joined the Oredigger baseball staff as the pitching coach in the fall of 2025.

Prior to Mines Durnil worked two years as the pitching coach at the Oregon Institute of Technology in Kalamth Falls, Ore. He also served as the strength and conditioning coordinator for a year as well. With Durnil on staff, OIT won 35 games in 2024 and then, in 2025, posted 39 wins and made the first regional appearance in school history. That 2025 squad posted a team ERA of 5.06. Durnil also touts facilities experience with Maize Recreation in Kansas and worked as a volunteer strength coach at Newman University in Wichita, Kan. As a player, Durnil earned five years of experience as a NCAA Division II baseball player, finishing his collegiate career at Newman University where he earned a bachelor's degree in sports communication and served as co-captain of the baseball team. Durnil also attended Hesston College. He's a member of the ABCA and developed the throwing program and pitch design at OIT.
