2018: Preseason All-RMAC ... Started 52 games and appeared in 53, all at second base ... batted .290 with 40 runs on 56 hits including nine doubles, five triples and three home runs ... Drove in 22 runs and stole 13 bases with the 10th-most at-bats and third-most triples in a season in program history ... Tied the program record for triples in a game with two vs. Colorado Mesa (4/8) ... Went 3-for-6 against Texas A&M-Kingsville in the NCAA Tournament, scoring three runs with two RBI on a double and a home run.

2017: Appeared in 44 games with 37 starts in his first season at Mines … Started eight times at short, six times at second, and 23 times at DH … Hit .328 and slugged .534 with a team-best .445 on-base percentage … Drove in 36 RBI and scored 30 runs … Smacked six home runs with nine doubles … Walked 17 times … At one point had a 22-game on-base streak … Drew a team-high 13 hit by pitch … Stole 11 bases in 16 attempts … Had 10 multi-RBI games, including a 3-for-5, 3-RBI outing in the RMAC Tournament final against Colorado Mesa.

Otero JC: A dynamic infielder... In 2016, posted a slash line of .346/.498/.536 with 15 doubles, four triples, two home runs with 24 RBI and 37 runs... At second, posted a .962 fielding percentage and helped the Rattlers turn 36 double plays... In 2015 he hit .333 with 11 doubles and four triples to earn All-Conference honors.

High School: Earned Honorable Mention All-Texas while playing at The Woodlands HS.
