2013: Appeared in 43 games with 39 starts as a true freshman… Hit .250 (29-for-116)… Scored 17 runs… Recorded five doubles… One triple… 19 RBI… Recorded 36 total bases… Tied for third on the team with 16 walks… Finished 4-for-5 on stolen base attempts… Posted a .926 fielding percentage on 163 total chances defensively.

High School: A four-sport athlete at Llano High School in Llano, Texas... Earned four letters in baseball, four in track, one in football and one in cross country... Was named all-district at shortstop on three occasions and all-state in 2010... Was a 2011 preseason all-state pick at shortstop and was also an all-state linebacker and a regional qualifier in the 4x400 meter relay... Played club baseball for both the International Baseball Academy (IBAHS) as well as the Total Pro Baseball Club...Senior class salutatorian, a National Hispanic Scholar, aBuick Achiever's Scholar and a National Coca-Cola Semifinalist during his time as a prep.
