Posted a record of 3-1 and tied for #1 on the RMAC's all-time wins list while becoming Mines' all-time strikeouts leader with 39 in 30.1 innings on the way to a 6.23 ERA ... Gave up just 28 hits to 116 batters ... Top outing of the year came against Colorado Christian on Feb. 29 with a 8.0 inning start featuring one unearned run on four hits, eight strikeouts and zero walks as Mines won 5-1 ... Also struck out 10 batters in 8.0 innings at Fort Hays State on Feb. 9.

2017: RMAC Pitcher of the Week (3/21) … One of the top freshman hurlers in the RMAC, going 5-2 in 11 starts with a 4.45 ERA … Struck out 47 in 56.2 innings of work … Threw a combined shutout against Adams State, striking out a career-high 10 in 6.1 innings of work … Led the Mines starting rotation in ERA.

HIGH SCHOOL A four-year varsity letterman for MNHS... as a senior, posted a 6-2 record with a 0.99 ERA in 70 innings...recorded 114 strikeouts to only 29 walks... was named 5A District 10 Pitcher of the Year... also recognized as Team MVP and Pitcher of the Year... participated in the Texas HS All-Star game... named Second-Team All-District in 2015... During that season he had a 1-1 overall record with three saves in 26 1/3 innings of work... toted a 2.12 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP with 29 strikeouts to only six walks... a National Honor Society member and Academic All-State.
