Biography

High School: Portmann lettered threetimes for Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. As a junior,Portman was named First Team All-District after averaging 11 pointsand five rebounds per game. As a senior, he was named Second TeamAll-District and First Team Academic All-State after averaging 12.5points and seven rebounds per contest. During the summer of 2013,Portman played on the Air Max Elite Basketball Club, where heaveraged 12 points and seven rebounds. During his freshman andsophomore years he participated in the JROTC, where he received theJROTC Veran's of Foreign Wars Citation & Medal award foroutstanding achievement and exceptional leadershipability.
