Kelsey Warren

Kelsey Warren joined the Colorado School of Mines Sports Medicine Staff in the summer of 2023 as an assistant athletic trainer.

Prior to joining Mines, Warren was a member of the sports medicine staff at Austin College, serving first as an assistant athletic trainer from 2020-21 before being elevated to head trainer entering her second year with the Kangaroos. As an assistant, she was the primary trainer for the 'Roos football team and also worked with soccer, basketball, swimming and diving, water polo, tennis, baseball, softball and volleyball as well as cheer and stunt and specialized in developing, overseeing and tracking rehabilitation programs for post-surgical injuries and assessing athlete readiness to return to play. After ascending to the department head role, Warren continued her previous duties and oversaw all athletic training services for all 15 of Austin College's programs and at one point, was the sole athletic trainer for all varsity programs. In addition, she also coordinated athletic training services for the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball tournaments as the host institution.

Before her time in Texas, Warren spent time as an athletic trainer with Weber State's football and track & field programs, as well as a trio of high schools in addition to working with physical therapists and orthopedic specialists.

Warren earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from South Carolina Upstate in 2018 and her master's degree in Athletic Training from Weber State in 2020. A well-traveled and experienced sports medicine professional, Warren is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and holds several certifications in the field.
