Kevin Fickes

Fickes begins his first season as CSM Head Women's Soccer Coachin 2010. The 2010 season marks Fickes' 11th season overall atMines.

During the 2009 season, Fickes served as an Assistant Coach forboth the men's and women's teams at CSM. Fickes was an AssistantCoach for the Oredigger men from 1998 to 2006.

A North Carolina native, Fickes played professionally and at thecollege level. He was a member of the 1992 and 1993 UNC-Charlotteteams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament two times and was rankedas high as No. 2 in the country.

Following his successful collegiate career, Fickes played threeseason of professional soccer, including one year each with theRichmond Kickers and the Raleigh Flyers. Fickes also spent oneseason with the Wilmington Hammerheads.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlottle in 1993,Fickes received his bachelor’s degree in English.

Since 1998, Fickes has worked with the Real Colorado Soccer Clubas a coach. He currently serves as the Assistant Director ofCompetitive and is both a Staff and Academy Coach. His U-15 Girlsteam finished in the top four at the 2009 Red Bull Nationals whilethe Boy’s Academy finished fourth nationally two years in arow.

Fickes and his wife, Kim, reside in Golden with their daughter,Molly (7).
