Dixie Cirillo finished her 35th year at Colorado School of Mines in 2024-25. Cirillo currently serves as the Associate Director of Athletics, Compliance Coordinator and Senior Woman Administrator.
Among an extensive portfolio of responsibilities, Cirillo is Mines' Senior Woman Administrator and is responsible for Mines Athletics' NCAA and RMAC compliance, is the department's Title IX coordinator, and handles eligibility, academics, and scholarships for the nearly 500 Oredigger student-athletes in the department.
Cirillo has been a key part of Mines Athletics' success over the past two decades, including seven RMAC All-Sports Cup championships, nine top-20 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup finishes, and numerous RMAC championships during her tenure. Prior to her appointment in the athletic department in 2002, Cirillo spent one year in the cashier's office (1991-92) and 13 years (1992-2005) as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid at CSM. Cirillo, who divided her time between financial aid and athletics from 2002 to 2005, was also named Assistant Director of Athletics upon her full-time appointment in the athletic department.
Cirillo, who graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Marketing, competed on the swimming & diving team for two years during her prep career at Arvada High School. She received her master's degree in Management from Colorado State University.
Cirillo and her husband, Russell, reside in Arvada and have two children, a daughter, Page, and son, Mark.
