COLORADO SPRINGS - Six different goalscorers keyed #3 Colorado School of Mines' 6-1 rout of Colorado-Colorado Springs Friday night.
As they did in the first meeting with UCCS earlier in the year, the Orediggers (12-1-0, 6-1-0 RMAC) dominated the game offensively with a 28-8 shots advantage as they got out to a 6-0 lead, including 3-0 at the break.
Taylor McRae began the scoring at 12' with a shot in traffic from the box, and
Jaclyn Knott continued her hot play with a superb 50-yard run and a finish off the left post at 34'.
Haley Cole tallied at 42' for her second of the year.
Laya Rybicki got the second half started with a goal just 2:31 in, going across goal to score from
Nicole LaTourette's assist, and
Brooke Stoermer hit a golazo at 52' from Knott to set the lead at 5-0.
Peyton Sanders scored Mines' final goal on
Mickey Hostetler's free kick at 64'.
RMAC leading scorer Michaela Mansfield spoiled the shutout with a late goal at 85', hitting to the far post.

- Mines defeated UCCS earlier in the season 5-0 in a non-conference meeting.
- Knott scored her fourth goal in three games. McRae also scored her fourth of the season while Cole, Rybicki, Stoermer, and Sanders each notched their second.
