GOLDEN, Colo. - #10 Colorado School of Mines clinched an RMAC Tournament berth with a 4-0 win over Black Hills State on Senior Day.
The Orediggers (14-2, 8-2 RMAC) set program single-game records for shots (57) and shots on goal (27) as they dominated the course of play and did not allow a shot.
Taylor McRae scored twice to begin the game, finishing a corner from
Caitlin Kaltenbaugh's rebound at 6:14 before making an easy finish from
Haley Cole's cross at 20:17. A BHSU handball in the box set up
Emily Garnier's 26th-minute penalty kick, giving Mines a 3-0 lead at the break.
Giselle Sawaged's goal was the second half's only scoring as the freshman struck
Acacia Ortiz's cross with pace from the top of the box at 53:02.

Sam Zumbro before their final home regular-season game. The Class of 2017 has won three straight RMAC regular-season and tournament titles, made three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament, including the 2014 Final Four, and a 64-10-9 career record.
- Mines remains in a tie for first in the RMAC with CSU-Pueblo, with both sitting on 24 points with two games left. If Mines wins out next weekend it will be assured of at least a share of the RMAC regular-season title, but the RMAC Tournament's #1 seed would go to CSU-Pueblo in the event of a tie based on their win over the Orediggers earlier this season.
- The Orediggers are also assured of a top-4 seed in the tournament and will host a quarterfinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The RMAC Tournament expands to eight teams this season with no more byes for the top two seeds.
- Zumbro and
Shannon Mooney split halves in goal with neither facing a shot. Therese Wilhelmi made 23 saves for BHSU.
- Mines' shot total surpassed the program record of program record 44 set vs. Johnson & Wales in 2005. Mines' 27 shots on goal edged out their 25 against Northern State in 2012.
- McRae's two goals put her into a tie for the team lead on six with Knott. Garnier's goal was her fifth of the year as she extended her team points lead to 17, while Sawaged notched her second goal of the year.
- Kaltenbaugh's assist was her first point of the year; she is the 20th different Oredigger to record a point in 2016.

Mines will end the regular season chasing the RMAC regular-season title with visits to Fort Lewis on Oct. 28 and Adams State on Oct. 30.
