GOLDEN, Colo. -
Jaclyn Knott's second-minute goal held up as #6 Colorado School of Mines advanced to the RMAC Tournament final with a 1-0 win over MSU Denver.
The Orediggers (18-2) will aim to win their sixth consecutive RMAC Tournament cup on Sunday when they host CSU-Pueblo, a 3-2 winner over Regis in the other semifinal, at noon.
Knott needed only 1:27 to score her fourth goal of the postseason, turning and converting
Acacia Ortiz' endline cross with a deflection off the goalkeeper from close range.
That would end up being the only goal of the game, but Mines was close several more times.
Peyton Sanders forced an Erica Torres tip save over the bar early in the half, and Knott had a second-half goal disallowed for offsides. Metro's best chance was their first shot of the game as Brenda Vazquez challenged
Sam Zumbro at the post.
