DURANGO, Colo. - #22 Colorado School of Mines shut down Fort Lewis in a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-23) win Friday night.
The Orediggers (13-3, 7-0 RMAC) remained unbeaten in conference play as they held the Skyhawks (8-7, 3-4 RMAC) to .058 hitting for the match.
Mines hit .260 powered by a near-double-double from
Marina Hansen, who provided 43 assists and nine digs.
Lindsey Jin led the hitters with 14 kills at a .414 clip, with
Madeline Behr swinging for 12 kills and
Ellie Monarch 10.Â
The Mines defense was the story, however, with five players recording nine or more digs:

LaRose Currie (10),
April Jergensen (9), and Hansen (9).Â
Mines took the first set 25-21 led by seven Behr kills, then ran away with the second 25-14 hitting .314 while holding FLC negative at -.091. The third was closer, 25-23, but Mines ended with a pair of Monarch kills to secure the match.
Mines heads to Adams State Saturday night for a 5 p.m. start.Â
