SALT LAKE CITY - First-half goals from
Aaron Safadi and
Ryan Wilson led Colorado School of Mines to a 2-0 win at Westminster on Sunday.
The red-hot Orediggers (4-2, 2-0 RMAC) pushed their win streak to four games with their first shutout of the year as
Collin Hall made four saves.
Nikolaus Grotz assisted on both goals as Mines outshot the Griffins (2-4) 19-10.
Safadi got Mines off and running in the 10th minute, scoring his second of the year from Grotz's assist, and Wilson tallied his first career goal in the 32nd minute again off a Grotz creation.
That would be all the scoring Mines would get despite 14 second-half shots. Max Medley had four saves for the Griffins.
Mines continues RMAC play on Sept. 22 at CSU-Pueblo.
