AUSTIN, Texas - #9 St. Edward's proved to be too tough as they took a 3-0 win over Colorado School of Mines on Sunday.
The Hilltoppers (2-0) snagged a goal with 35 seconds remaining in the first half, then scored twice in the second half as they led 18-7 on shots over the Orediggers (0-2).
Owain Hoskins scored to finish the first half, and Grant Mobley made it 2-0 in the 49th minute before Dylan Armstrong converted a penalty kick at 63'.

William Tuffin made two saves in the shutout for SEU;
Collin Hall had three stops for Mines.
The Orediggers open up at home on Friday, hosting Cal State Monterey Bay at 5 p.m.
