Colorado School of Mines 24, Central Missouri 15

Weston Hunt's pin in the final bout of the day clinched Mines' 24-15 win over Central Missouri to finish their undefeated Saturday.

With Mines leading 18-15 heading into 285 pounds, Hunt worked his team-leading seventh fall of the season, securing the team result in the process. It was a much-needed win as the Orediggers took the first four bouts and Central Missouri the next five to catch up.

Mines benefited from forfeits at 125 and 141 as Zach Gracia and Lukas Erickson claimed six points apiece, but the Orediggers also got key wins at 133 pounds, where Jake Woods beat Daide Agnew 8-5, and 149 pounds, where Noah Ottum got a takedown in sudden victory to win 9-7.

That had the Orediggers ahead 18-0, but UCM won the next five matches all by decision, with three coming by a single point including a ride-out overtime escape by Tyler Selemaea over Connor Ventura at 184. That set up the chance for UCM to win it with a major decision or better at heavyweight, but Hunt's pin of Chase Miller in 3:57 ended their hopes.
