NCAA Regional Rankings #1

INDIANAPOLIS - Colorado School of Mines tops the first NCAA South Central regional rankings, a key indicator of selection for the NCAA Championship.

The Orediggers (13-1-1, 10-0-0 RMAC) sit atop the region ahead of West Texas A&M and UCCS. Mines is 4-0 against other ranked teams in the South Central, with wins over #3 UCCS, #4 Westminster, #6 St. Edward's, and #7 MSU Denver.

The South Central's top six ranked teams at the end of conference championships will receive berths to the NCAA Championships, minus the automatic qualifiers from the RMAC, Lone Star, and Heartland Conferences if they are not ranked. The Orediggers have three regular-season games left before beginning RMAC Tournament play on Oct. 30.

Mines' next game is at home Friday night as they host Black Hills State for a 6:30 p.m. start.
