KEARNEY, Neb. - Six placewinners, led by
Robert Gambrell's runner-up finish in the Elite 174 bracket, led Colorado School of Mines at the competitive UNK Holiday Inn Open on Saturday.
The Orediggers had five placewinners in Elite brackets and one in Amateur competition as Gambrell was 2nd at Elite 174,

Weston Hunt and
Brandon Saunders tied for sixth at Elite 285, and
Anderson Salisbury took fourth at Amateur 184.
Gambrell rolled to a 3-1 day and into the Elite 174 final with two major decisions and a fall, including a 14-5 victory over Air Force's Brock Jennings in the quarters and a 5:49 pin of Central Oklahoma's Miguel Barreras in the semis. His only loss was a 6-5 heartbreaker to UNK's Zach Stodden - ranked #5 nationally at 174 - in the final.
Feldman went 4-2 at Elite 197 for fourth, not contesting the third-place bout after winning three straight matches in consolations. Feldman had three falls on the day, including a 3:46 pin of Fort Hays State's Jordan Davis in the consolation semis. Au-Yeung wrestled back to take fifth at 133, losing in the quarterfinals but winning two straight and the fifth-place match, a 2-1 decision over UCO's Rio Zamora, to earn his place.
