THIS WEEK
Mines begins its RMAC schedule on Friday, hosting three duals at Volk Gym as Chadron State and San Francisco State come to town. The two visitors will square off at 3 p.m., while Mines will wrestle Chadron at 5 p.m. and San Francisco State at 7. All three duals will be seen live on the RMAC Network.

HANCOCK WRESTLING CENTER CELEBRATION SET FOR SATURDAY
On Saturday morning, Mines Wrestling will publicly unveil the renovated Hancock Wrestler Center to alumni, family, and friends in a celebration at 11 a.m. All alumni and friends of Mines Wrestling are invited to join the Orediggers in the wrestling room on the first floor of Volk. The recent renovation gives the team a first-class practice facility including a renovated locker room, study lounge space, and hydrotherapy area.

LAST TIME OUT
Six placewinners, led by Robert Gambrell's runner-up finish in the Elite 174 bracket, led Colorado School of Mines at the competitive UNK Holiday Inn Open in their last competition back on Nov. 17. The Orediggers had five placewinners in Elite brackets and one in Amateur competition as Gambrell was 2nd at Elite 174, Jake Feldman fourth at Elite 197, Noah Au-Yeung fifth at Elite 133, Weston Hunt and Brandon Saunders tied for sixth at Elite 285, and Anderson Salisbury took fourth at Amateur 184.

LAST YEAR VS. CSC AND SFSU
Mines earned win over both Chadron State and San Francisco State a year ago. On the road at CSC, Mines won a 20-16 thriller, coming back from a 13-6 deficit keyed by Keenan Willits' tech fall at 165 pounds and a double-overtime decision by TJ Shelton at 174. Zach Gracia and Noah Au-Yeung also had wins, while CSC did not contest 197 giving Mines valuable forfeit points. Mines and SFSU faced off at the Midwest Duals in Nebraska as the Orediggers won 25-13. Mines won six bouts with bonus points in three of them keyed by Taylor Gambill's fall at 141, Noah Ottum's major decision at 149, and a TJ Shelton pin at 174.

IN THE RANKINGS
Mines received seven votes in the most recent NWCA Top 25 team poll, as did San Francisco State, with Chadron State picking up 29 points to be ranked #13. Individual, Noah Au-Yeung dropped one spot to #7 nationally at 133; Chadron has Brock Thumm ranked #2 at 141, Chase Clasen #5 at 149, and Wade French #10 at 197, while SFSU has Brandon Vu ranked #9 at 125 and Jordan Gurrola #10 at 133.
