Mines (1-1) took the lead in the third inning with four runs on three hits off of the Texans (1-1). A leadoff walk for Daniel Ciraula set the table as the Orediggers used another walk, a wild pitch and a trio of singles to take a 4-0 advantage. Tarleton State hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to break up the shutout, but that would be all for the Texans.
