2018 All-RMAC Teams

COLORADO SPRINGS -
Led by Coach of the Year Tyler Kimble and first-team selections Nic Beno, George Markham, and Jordan Bass, Colorado School of Mines dominated the 2018 All-RMAC Men's Golf teams.

Tim Amundson also picked up second-team accolades for the defending RMAC champions, who are wrapping up play at the NCAA West/South Central Regional Championships on Wednesday.

Kimble, in his 12th season at the helm of the Orediggers, receives his third coach of the year honor joining awards from 2012 and 2013. He guided Mines to their first RMAC Tournament title since 2012 and an NCAA Regional appearance as they battle for a spot at nationals. His four golfers selected as all-RMAC represents a conference best.

Beno picked up his first career all-RMAC honor with his first-team nod. The sophomore entered NCAA Regionals averaging 72.63 with four top-10s, including a tie for fourth at the Mustang Intercollegiate and a tie for sixth at the Bob Writz, as he finished 11th at RMAC Championships.

Markham repeats as a first-teamer and earns his third all-RMAC spot overall after leading Mines with a 72.59 average. The junior was the runner-up at RMACs and was consistently a top-20 finisher throughout the year including a tie for fifth at the RMAC Fall Event and an 11th-place showing at the Bob Writz Invite.

Bass, a senior, earns his first career all-RMAC honor after a strong spring saw him cement a spot in the Mines lineup. Bass has run off a string of four straight top-20 finishes including 12th at the Mustang Intercollegiate and sixth at the Southern Colorado Masters; his final-round 69 to finish 18th at RMAC Championships was critical in helping Mines to the team title.

Amundson, a sophomore, repeats as a second-teamer after averaging 73.44 this year. Amundson has had a very good spring, winning the Bob Writz Invitational before finishing 16th at the Southern Colorado Masters and tied for fifth at RMAC Championships, his career-best finish at the conference outing.
