SAN ANGELO, Texas - A second-half goal by Angelo State was all the Rams needed to upset #7 Colorado School of Mines, 1-0, in a non-conference match.
The Orediggers (3-1-0) led 14-6 on shots, but the Rams' Ally Warren scored in the 48th minute to give her side the only goal of the game.
Chaney Brugman and
Audrey Shin led Mines with three shots each as
Hannah Rowan had two looks at goal. Mines held ASU to only three shots in each half, but couldn't get one by goalkeeper Kira Miller, who made eight saves in the shutout.
NOTABLES
- Angelo State evened the all-time series with Mines at 1-1. The Rams improved to 3-1-0 this season.
- The loss was Mines' first in nearly a calendar year, since falling 2-1 at Western Washington on Sept. 19, 2018.
