GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines wrestling will add nine new recruits - eight freshman and one graduate transfer - to its roster for the 2020-21 season.

The two-time defending RMAC champions added depth across multiple weight classes, especially at the middle weights. Head Coach Austin DeVoe drew recruits from six states, including two each from Colorado, Illinois, and California, as well as freshmen from Oregon, Kansas, and Texas.

Mines will welcome a graduate transfer in Zach Krause, a two-year captain at Brown University, while also signing freshmen Garrett Bakarich, Daniel Caddy, Malachi Contreras, Tristin David, David Leck, Wyatt Lewis, Christian Lopez, and Noah Rupp.

Mines will return starters at seven weight classes next year, including previous NCAA qualifiers Skyler Lykins, Nolan Funk, Anderson Salisbury, and Weston Hunt. Under DeVoe, the Orediggers have been one of the nation's best dual teams over the past three seasons going a combined 30-7 and peaking at a national ranking of #9 in the 2019-20 season.
