2021 Mines Wrestling Schedule
GOLDEN, Colo. - #16 Colorado School of Mines has announced its wrestling schedule for the 2021 season.
The Orediggers will wrestle an RMAC schedule against the five other schools who have opted to compete this season, while also adding a season-opening dual against #12 Fort Hays State on Jan. 14. Four meets will be at home: FHSU, Colorado Mesa (Jan. 23), Western Colorado (Feb. 6), and Chadron State (Feb. 11) with two on the road at Adams State (Jan. 30) and CSU Pueblo (Feb. 14).
Postseason plans may change but for now, NCAA Super Region 6 Championships are scheduled for Feb. 27 in Alamosa, and NCAA Championships begin March 12 at a site to be announced.
All dates and times are subject to change. All teams will follow NCAA guidelines related to COVID-19 testing protocols. This season, duals will feature the main 10-bout card as well as exhibition matches in order to give each program's youngsters a chance to get some mat time with the absence of open tournaments.
No spectators will be allowed to attend home meets (with away meets to be determined), but
all events will stream live and for free on the RMAC Network.
The Orediggers (9-2, 7-0 RMAC in 2019-20) are coming off an undefeated conference slate last year to earn their second consecutive RMAC title. Mines was ranked #16 in the NWCA preseason poll and was the top choice in the RMAC coaches' poll.
