SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Emi Higgins' 77th-minute goal provided Colorado School of Mines with a valuable road point as they left Westminster with a 1-1 draw.

It was a tale of two halves as the Orediggers (7-2-3, 4-1-1 RMAC) were out-possessed and out-shot by the Griffins (4-2-2, 1-2-1 RMAC) in the first half but flipped their form around to pressure after halftime, ultimately resulting in the goal.

The Griffins outshot Mines 20-16 overall, but the Orediggers led on chances in the second period 10-6 and overtime was a close 3-2 for WC. Both goalkeepers had busy afternoons as Sierra Roth made six saves and Kelsea Cracroft stopped eight.

Westminster went ahead on Aimee Kurfurst's 33rd-minute goal, putting back a rebounded Alexa Maple shot. The Orediggers responded with an attacking second half that started to swing the momentum their way. A throw-in in their attacking quarter set up the goal as Landry Corbett's long toss bounced once in the box and onto the head of Higgins, who put it home to level at 76:02.

Mines had a string of dangerous throws after that and shots by Emma Peterson and Hannah Rowan, but the game headed to overtime. In the first extra frame, WC's Brynnae Braun had the only chance, a shot easily saved by Roth, and Elise Putnam put two on goal in the second OT for Mines, who had two corners in the period.
