GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines made its home debut on Saturday hosting Colorado State and the University of Mary in a women's triangluar meet.
Mines won their side of the triangular against UMary 111-59, with D-I Colorado State beating UMary 122-47 and Mines 120-49.
Jorie Selig was second in the 50-free in 24:35 and led Mines with a fourth-place 54.25 in the 100-free, and
Sam Henney scored a second-place 2:12.32 in the 200-back. Mines' youngsters had a great home debut as
Isabella Bono led Mines in the 1,000-free in a third-place 11:28.99,
Olivia Kisow took fourth in the 400-IM at 4:45.91 and was also the top Oredigger in the 500-free in fourth at 5:24.95,
Sophia Buhr was fourth in the 200-fly at 2:17.07, and
Connie Lee was the top Oredigger in the 200-free (2:01.63).
The Oredigger 400-free relay of
Maddie Finley,
Lauren Mayo,
Maggie Wells, and Selig took full points in exhibition in 3:44.08; the Mines B squad of Henney,
Alyssa Haddock, Mayo, and Lee was third in the 400-medley relay in 4:10.19.
Mines is back in action next weekend with the two-day CMU Quad Meet in Grand Junction starting Friday.
