DURANGO, Colo. - Three different goalscorers combined with another shutout defensive performance to give #18 Colorado School of Mines a 3-0 road win at Fort Lewis.

The Orediggers (10-2-3, 7-1-1 RMAC) won their third consecutive match outshooting the Skyhawks (3-7-2, 1-5-2 RMAC) by a 18-7 margin and keeping Fort Lewis on their heels for the duration of the match.

Mines wasted no time getting on the board as Emma Peterson tallied in the 12th minute to get things going. Laura Butler's cross in the box deflected out off a defender and fell right to Peterson's feet, and the senior blasted it in from 16 yards out for the lead. Four minutes later, goalkeeper Katlyn Rosenbaum attempted to dribble the ball away from goal with her feet, but a pressure McDermott dispossessed her and scored on the open net to lead 2-0.

Mines continued to pressure with a close-range Landry Corbett header and Emi Higgins' angled shot both forcing good saves by Rosenbaum later in the half, and Zoe Sano fired just over the bar early in the second half. The third goal finally came on a beautiful creation by Higgins, who slotted the ball into space for Ellise Putnam to finish to the far post for her first collegiate goal.

The Orediggers had numerous other chances including hit cross bars by Corbett and Colleen Tyrrell a minute apart around the 51st minute, and Hannah Rowan's attempt that was saved off the bar in the 84th.

Sierra Roth made three saves, including an early reaction stop and a denial of Avery Lewis' tough shot just before halftime.
