GAME 1 - Colorado Mesa 18, Mines 0 (5 inn.)
Colorado Mesa produced an offensive explosion in the series opener to win 18-0.
The Mavericks were led by Lauren Wedman and Ellie Smith's four-RBI games as Smith and Ally Distler both homered. The Orediggers were hurt by six errors, as only six of CMU's 18 runs were earned.
Colorado Mesa scored five in the first, eight in the second, and five in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Paige Adair (3-0) struck out four in the shutout.
Kylie Redding (1-2) and
Kayleigh Krueger split time in the circle for Mines.
Renata Boyd led Mines at the plate going 2-for-3, and

GAME 2 - Colorado Mesa 9, Mines 8
Colorado Mesa's four-run bottom of the seventh helped them walk off with the win in game two of the doubleheader.
Sarah Staudle's RBI single broke an 8-8 tie to help the Mavericks (6-0) remain unbeaten after the Orediggers (4-6) led 8-5 heading into the inning. Wedman again had a four-RBI game to lead the Mavs;
Kylie Redding and
Sam Wade each drove in two for Mines, while
Clara Larson and
Kayleigh Krueger had multi-hit games.
The teams traded crooked numbers early in the game, as Wade and Krueger drove in three runs in the top of the first before Wedman made it 3-3 with her three-run homer in the bottom half. Mines led 6-3 after thanks to RBI from
Stefanie Brunello and Redding combined with an error to led Brunello score, but Brooke Doumer got a run back on a double in the bottom of the second to make it 6-4.
Wedman homered again to lead off the fifth and cut the Mines lead to 8-5, and things unraveled in the seventh as Ellie Smith singled in Wedman, Ashley Bradford brought in Distler, and Nicole Christensen singled in the tying run before Staudle's two-out single plated her for the win.
Shea Mauser picked up the win in relief with three scoreless innings after Smith allowed eight through four.
Sydney Marchando (1-2) struck out three in the loss.
