#21 Mines Draws With Texas Woman's

DENTON, Texas - First-half goals by both teams ended up being the only scoring action as #21 Colorado School of Mines and Texas Woman's settled for a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

The Orediggers (2-0-2) pressed hard for a winner with five shots in overtime, but the Pioneers (2-0-2) were equal to the task to earn the result.

Eliot Edwards got Mines on the board in the eighth minute with her first goal of the season, coming a minute after a string of early corners as Mines controlled the opening of the game. TWU battled back and leveled on Alyssa Simien's finish from Kalista Miller in the 29th minute, the first goal conceded by the Orediggers in four matches this season.

The second half remained scoreless to send the game into overtime, where Mines got four shots off in the first period thanks to Landry Corbett, Hannah Rowan, Colleen Tyrrell, and Reese McDermott, and added a chance in the second OT by Tyrrell.
