LARAMIE, Wyo.
- Colorado School of Mines got its weekend started with a dual at Wyoming, taking on the Division I program with a longer-than-expected stay in Laramie.

Swimming at more than 7,100' feet, Wyoming won both sides of the dual as the Cowboys outscored Mines 172-85 and the Cowgirls won 164.5-89.5.

Unfortunately, the snowy weather conspired to keep the Orediggers in Laramie overnight due to road closures, and that has forced a schedule change for Saturday. Mines' 9 a.m. meet vs. Adams State is now canceled, but the two teams still plan to swim at 3 p.m. in Golden, with Senior Day ceremonies preceding that meet.

Ronan Lauinger provided Mines with its lone event win, capturing the 200-IM in 1:57.88 in a 1-2 finish with Charles Burroughs (1:59.74). The Orediggers had several other standout performances; on the men's side, Jaron O'Grady was second in the 1000-free in 10:16.87, Andres Saa was second in the 100-breaststroke in 1:00.53, and Gavin Gilmore snagged second in the 200-breast in 2:13.31.

Joe Peak was third in the 200-free in 1:47.22, Burroughs third in the 200-fly in 1:55.31, and Sam LaPrade third in the 200-back in 2:08.10, while Lauinger added a third-place 4:54.09 in the 500-free to his win in the 200-IM.

For the women, Meghan Slowey was second in the 1000-free in 10:57.75, Erin Taggart took second in the 200-fly in 2:16.02, and Jorie Selig was runner-up in the 100-free in 54.64. Sophia Buhr was second on time and first in points in the 100-fly in 1:00.87. Olivia Kisow was third in the 200-free in 2:02.41 and in the 200-breast in 2:32.28.
