GOLDEN, Colo. - #21 Colorado School of Mines reeled off three straight wins to finish the dual, taking down #13 Adams State 24-15 at Volk Gym.

The Orediggers (2-0, 2-0 RMAC) remained unbeaten in conference action as the Grizzlies fell to 1-2.

The meet started at 197 where ASU's Hunter Tobiasson won 3-0 over Aidan Funk, but Mines' #4 Weston Hunt won by forfeit at 285 pounds to get Mines in front 6-3. Christian Lopez battled against #9 Isaiah De La Cerda in a 7-2 loss to tie the dual 6-6, but Mines went back ahead when Tyler Krause found a pair of takedowns and two third-period points to win 7-2 over Jimmizan Redhorse at 141.

Mines extended its lead at 141 where freshman Grayston DiBlasi impressed in an 11-2 major decision over Cael Figueroa, earning the bonus points on a third-period reversal and nearfall-2 to put Mines up 13-6. Zach Krause had some bad luck at 149, however, as he was leading #4 Noah Hermosillo 2-1 before an injury from the top position caused him to withdraw and cut Mines' lead to 13-12. Adams State won the next bout as #6 Josiah Rider beat Carter Noehre 10-4 at 157, and that put the Grizzlies ahead 15-13 with three bouts to go.

If the Orediggers won it anywhere, it was at 165 where Jack Damenti gutted out an 8-5 decision over previously-unbeaten Sam Loera. Tied 5-5 in the third, Damenti found an escape, a penalty point, and secured riding time for the bout victory and the dual lead. It was another battle at 174 pounds as Ryan Fidel outlasted Cody Lewis 9-3 in overtime; trailing 2-1, Lewis earned a late takedown but Fidel had just enough riding time to force sudden victory; in the extra period, Fidel took down Lewis to his back and picked up four more points for the victory.

That had Mines ahead 19-15 and gave the Grizzlies a mathematical shot at the win, but #9 Anderson Salisbury left zero doubt in an 18-3 third-period technical fall win over Ben Tonnessen, scattering five takedowns and two nearfall-4s in his 50th career victory.

NOTABLES
- Mines extended its program-record RMAC dual winning streak to 11 meets dating back to the 2018-19 season.
- It was the Orediggers' sixth straight win over Adams State and second in a row when the Grizzlies were ranked #13.
- With Mines short-handed lacking a 197-pounder or an available backup at 184, 174-pounder Funk had to wrestle up at 197 to start the meet and battled gamely against the larger Tobiasson in the 3-0 loss.
- DiBlasi made his collegiate dual debut at 141 pounds in his victory, improving to 7-3 as a true freshman.
- Both Salisbury and Hunt extended their team-leading win totals to 10 for the season. Salisbury joins Hunt (65-24) as the only two active Orediggers with 50 career wins.
