MINES CONTINUES RMAC STREAK
The Orediggers enter the SFSU meet with an 11-match RMAC winning streak that dates back to the 2018-19 season. It ranks as the longest conference winning streak in program history.Â
SALISBURY REACHES 50-WIN MARK
Anderson Salisbury's tech fall to finish off the Adams State dual marked the 50th win of his career as the redshirt senior is now 50-17 all-time. He is one of two active Orediggers - along with
Weston Hunt (65-24) - to reach the plateau.Â
THE MINES VS. SAN FRANCISCO STATE SERIES
The Orediggers and Gators are meeting for the 18th time, with SFSU holding a 13-4 all-time series lead dating back to their first dual meeting in 1978-79. In recent years, however, it's been all Mines as they've won three in a row including a 32-13 decision at home the last time they met in the 2019-20 season. San Francisco State is an affiliate member of the RMAC in wrestling.
THE MINES VS. FORT HAYS STATE SERIES
Mines and Fort Hays State have a long rivalry as the Tigers used to be a member of the RMAC, and they meet for the 36th time dating back to 1958. FHSU leads the series 22-13 but Mines has won three in a row and five of the last seven meetings. FHSU was one of two duals Mines wrestled last season, and they beat the Tigers handily 31-6 at Volk Gym including wins by current team members
Wes Rayburn,
Carter Noehre,
Anderson Salisbury, and
Weston Hunt.
