500-FREE
It was the women's 500-free that marked the first event of the day on Thursday morning.
Meghan Slowey,
Olivia Kisow,
Isabella Bono, and
Maggie Wells all advanced to the finals led by Slowey's NCAA "B" cut of 5:03.43. Slowey dropped that national time even more in the evening, touching in 5:02.26 to finish #7 overall. Meanwhile, on the men's side,
Scott Reeder,

200-IM
This was arguably the event of the day across the board for both Mines' men and women.
Annie Osmun led teammates
Jordan Tierney,
Kylie VanderMeer,
Ava Burger,
Claire Lautman and Jules Hayes to the finals. Osmun eventually swam 2:06.21 in the finals to break Madeleine Oakley's record from 2018-19, post a NCAA "B" time, and finish #3 overall ahead of three swimmers from NCAA Division I Northern Arizona.
Garrett Waite and
Charles Burroughs made the men's side even more exciting. Waite swam 1:49.44 in prelims. That broke Burroughs' own program record and marked the #2 time in NCAA Division II based on the data available. Waite and Burroughs, along with
Braden Whitmarsh,
Gavin Gilmore,
Jack Engler,
Max Waring, and
Gavin Moore advanced to finals. There, Burroughs out-touched Waite and posted his NCAA "B" cut of the day with a time of 1:50.04 which proved good enough for #3 in the finals.
Â
50-FREE
The sprint of all sprints in collegiate swimming saw
Jorie Selig,
Cameryn Schmidt, and
Emma Neuroth advance to finals on the women's side.
Seth Krause,
Jakson Winn,
Michael Kietzman,
Sam LaPrade,
Luca Burns, and
Braden Hunt did the same on the men's side.
