GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines remained perfect in dual action, picking up wins over San Francisco State and Fort Hays State Friday night at Volk Gym.
The Orediggers (3-0) had little trouble in either dual led by 2-0 nights from
Grayston DiBlasi,
Carter Noehre,
Jack Damenti,
Ryan Cody, and
Deandre Rucker. DiBlasi picked up two wins by fall.
Mines 30, San Francisco State 9
The Orediggers got their RMAC schedule off to a winning start first, cruising to a 30-9 win over San Francisco State.
Mines got bonus points on pins by
Grayston DiBlasi and
Ryan Cody plus major decision victories out of Cartner Noehre,
Jack Damenti, and
Anderson Salisbury as they pulled away starting at 141 pounds and never looked back.
Christian Lopez squeaked out a 9-8 win at 125 to get things going before Tony Margiotta earned a one-point, 3-2 decision over
Tyler Krause at 133, but DiBlasi's pin at 141 go the ball rolling with Noehre scoring at will in a 15-7 win at 157 and Damenti rolling 17-6 at 165. Cody's Greco background was on display with a throw into a pin at 184, and Salisbury shut out Laith Gilmore 9-0 at 197 before
Deandre Rucker picked up his first of two wins on the evening with a 7-2 decision against Emilio Sandoval.
Mines won their fifth straight dual over the Gators dating back to 2017.

The DiBlasi brothers, Weston and Grayston, and
Deandre Rucker all picked up falls and
Jack Damenti rolled with a tech fall as Mines cruised by Fort Hays State 32-11.
Mines picked up bonus points in four bouts winning seven overall.
Weston DiBlasi got things off to a quick start with a 1:19 pin of Rhett Koppes at 125, and after FHSUU got on the board at 133,
Grayston DiBlasi's second-period pin made it 12-3 after three weight classes.
Teague Dilbeck picked up a 5-1 win over Drew Burgoon at 149 and
Carter Noehre added his second win of the night in a 7-1 decision at 157. Damenti was utterly dominant in a second-period, 18-3 technical fall at 165, and
Ryan Cody picked up a 5-3 win at 184.
A top-10 battle evolved at 197 as #6
Anderson Salisbury took on #4 Tereus Henry for the second time this season; both men had escapes in regulation to send it to sudden victory, where Henry found a takedown to win 3-1. Mines finished on a high note as Rucker, following a scoreless first period, used a takedown into a pin to defeat Anthony Caldwell in 4:58.
Mines won the fifth straight time against the Tigers dating back to 2017.
