GOLDEN, Colo. - Two top-25 clashes to start the season highlight the 2022 schedule for Colorado School of Mines football.

The Orediggers, coming off a 12-2 season that saw them advance to the NCAA Division II semifinals and finish ranked #3 in the nation, will have one of the toughest schedules in the country as they open up at another likely preseason top-10 team in Grand Valley State on Thursday, Sept. 1. The home opener on Sept. 10 is a rematch of the 2021 NCAA Super Region 4 final with Angelo State returning to Marv Kay Stadium as the two teams have inked a two-year home-and-home agreement.

Mines will begin its quest for a fourth consecutive RMAC championship on Sept. 17 at Adams State. Home RMAC contests include CSU Pueblo on Sept. 24, Colorado Mesa for Homecoming on Oct. 8, Black Hills State on Oct. 22, and the regular-season finale against Fort Lewis on Oct. 12. All home games will kick off at noon.

On the road, Mines will visit Chadron State Oct. 1, South Dakota Mines Oct. 15, Western Colorado Oct. 29, and New Mexico Highlands Nov. 5.

Mines will return the Angelo State game in Week 2 of 2023, visiting San Angelo for the first time. Grand Valley State will open the season in Golden in Week 1 of 2023.

All dates and times are subject to change. Home ticket information will be announced later in the spring.
