GREENSBORO, N.C.
- Meghan Slowey saved her best for last as she capped off the final night of the 2022 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships with a podium performance in the 1650-freestyle.

Slowey finished eighth in the long-distance event, earning First-Team All-America honors in the process. Her time of 17:03.11 was a 15-second personal best, and dropped more than 14 seconds off her time from last year's NCAA meet when she finished 19th.

It marks Slowey's first career NCAA podium finish, but her second all-America honor of the week as she produced a 12th-place finish in the 1,000-free earlier this week to earn second-team status. Slowey is only the fourth Oredigger woman to stand on the podium at NCAAs in the top eight, and first in the 1650-freestyle.

Slowey was the lone Oredigger in action on the final day of NCAA Championships as the 2021-22 season has officially concluded. Mines had three individuals and one relay in North Carolina this week as Charles Burroughs, Ronan Lauinger, and the men's 200-free relay joined Slowey in the pool.
