LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Scores soared across the board as Colorado School of Mines couldn't make up ground in the second round of the Las Vegas Desert Classic at The Legacy Golf Club.
The Orediggers shot a team 327 to remain in 19th in the nationally-elite field, with every team in the tournament over par in windy conditions on Monday.
Jake Welch's +7 79 led the way for Mines as he is now T86, and
Ethan Adam carded 81 (+9) to sit T68 after 36 holes.
Lucas Schulte was Mines' third scorer with a 10-over 82 to be T83, and
Owen Cornmesser shot 85 to round out the scoring in 95th.
Theodore Reitter was a stroke behind and is in 93rd.
Missouri-St. Louis remains in first at +3 overall, with Texas A&M-Commerce's Kittiphong Phaithuncharoensuk one of only two individuals under par on Monday to lead the field at -4.
The tournament wraps up with third-round action starting Tuesday at 8 a.m. PT.
