GOLDEN, Colo.
- The Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America has recognized 13 Colorado School of Mines swimmers as Scholar All-America in its year-end academic awards.

The men had 10 honorees, with first-team selections Charles Burroughs, Seth Krause, and Harry Smith. Robert Clayton, Michael Kietzman, Max Waring, Jaron O'Grady, Joe Peak, Scott Reeder, and Andres Saa earned second-team honors. From the women's team, Meghan Slowey earned a first-team nod and Jorie Selig and Erin Taggart second-team status.

Both Oredigger teams earned Scholar All-America status for team GPA in late June. To be recognized as an individual, student-athletes had to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and have participated at the national championship meet for First-Team status, or achieved an NCAA "B" qualifying time for Second-Team honors.
