PUEBLO, Colo. - It was a battle to the very end, but Colorado School of Mines prevailed with a 17-15 win at CSU Pueblo Friday night.

The Orediggers (9-1, 3-1 RMAC) won five bouts but it was #5 Anderson Salisbury's overtime win at 197 pounds that proved to be the winning points in the dual after Ryan Cody took the lead back with a decision at 184 pounds. Weston DiBlasi had the night's only bonus-point win at 133 and it proved crucial in the end as his technical fall provided the two-point margin of victory.

Mines started out with three straight wins as Christian Lopez cruised 9-3 at 125, Weston DiBlasi scored early and often in an 18-2 tech fall, and Grayston DiBlasi hung on for a 7-6 win at 141 to lead 11-0.

The Thunderwolves came right back with four straight wins in the middle weights, however, earning all four by decision to take the lead 12-11 after 174 pounds. 

It then came down the pivotal 184 and 197 bouts, where Cody started by outlasting Cameron Nesbitt 10-7 to get a 14-12 team lead, and Salisbury was then tested into extra time by Donn Greer. Greer had a first-period takedown and Salisbury leveled on two escapes, with neither man scoring in the third; neither man scored in the first minute of sudden victory until Salisbury found a takedown to win the match of the night, 4-2.

At heavyweight, Deandre Rucker had to just not get pinned to ensure the dual win, and he held Ben Gould to an 8-6 win to ensure the team victory.

NOTABLES
- Salisbury won his 80th career match, becoming just the 10th Oredigger to reach the milestone.
- Mines won its third straight meeting with the Thunderwolves.
