2023-24 Mines Women's Basketball Schedule
 
GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines Women's Basketball team announced its 2023-24 schedule on Monday afternoon, less than two weeks away from the Orediggers' season opener.
 
The 2023-24 slate has Mines playing 28 regular-season games with 15 at home and 22 total Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contests. The schedule also features the 2023-24 Conference Challenge and 2023 Thanksgiving Classic both being held inside Lockridge Arena. The Orediggers enter their new campaign after going 24-7 (18-4 RMAC) in 2022-23 including trips to the RMAC Tournament championship game and the NCAA tournament. At least two teams on Mines' 2023-24 schedule appeared in the preseason national rankings. Montana State Billings appeared at #15 in the preseason coaches' poll and Texas Woman's was #24.
 
Mines opens its season on Friday, Nov. 10, by hosting the 2023-24 Conference Challenge. The Orediggers start with St. Mary's (Texas) out of the Lone Star Conference on Friday at 1 p.m. Regis and St. Edward's (Texas) will also face off in Lockridge Arena on the same day at 11 a.m. On Saturday, Regis gets St. Edward's at 10 a.m. and Mines takes on St. Edward's at 12 p.m. After opening weekend, the Orediggers take non-conference play on the road with a trip to #24 Texas Woman's on Nov. 16 followed by a stop at West Texas A&M on Nov. 18. Non-conference action concludes Nov. 24-25 with the 2023 Thanksgiving Classic in Golden, Colo., at Lockridge Arena. In that event, Mines faces Cameron (Okla.) on Friday at 5 p.m. and #15 MSU Billings on Saturday at 5 p.m.
 
Conference play also starts at home for the Orediggers. They host Colorado Mesa on Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. and Westminster on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m. Mines closes the calendar year with road trips to South Dakota Mines, Black Hills State, MSU Denver and Western Colorado. Then, after the holiday break, the Orediggers welcome Colorado Christian to Mines on Jan. 6 before a quick trip to CSU Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands Jan. 12-13. That leads to a four-game home stand for Mines featuring Regis, UCCS, MSU Denver, and Western Colorado to wrap up January. In February, the Orediggers travel to Fort Lewis, Adams State, Colorado Mesa, Colorado Christian, and Adams State. They'll be at home against Black Hills State on Feb. 9-10. Home games end the season for Mines as well. Adams State comes to town on March 1 and Fort Lewis will be the Senior Night opponent on March 2.
