Orediggers Earn #2 Seed, Hosting Rights to Begin 2023 NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Monday evening the field was announced for the 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship and despite a setback in the RMAC Tournament title match on Sunday, the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team will get another game as they head back to the NCAA Tournament for the 15th consecutive time in the program's 18-year history, and for the second year in a row, will be playing the role of host in the South Central Region, earning a first round bye as the #2 seed.
 
Mines will host the opening round matchup between the #3 seed Colorado Mesa and the #6 seed Texas Woman's and will play the winner of that match in the second round at Stermole Stadium.
 
The rest of the South Central Region sees Dallas Baptist earn the #1 seed once again and host the other half of the bracket, earning a first-round bye as well while they await the winner of the first round contest between the #4 seed UCCS and the #5 seed St. Mary's (TX).
