2023 RMAC All-Academic Volleyball Teams
COLORADO SPRINGS – Oredigger sophomore
Meghan Slaninka led the Colorado School of Mines Volleyball team on the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic squads on Wednesday after being voted to the first team.
Â
Slaninka was voted RMAC First-Team All-Academic for the first time in her career. Criteria for her nomination included a minimum grade-point average of 3.5, at least two consecutive semesters at the institution, and significant contributions on the court. The defensive specialist was voted to the top squad thanks to a 4.0 GPA as a mechanical engineering major by the league's sports information directors who were not allowed to vote for their own players. MSU Denver's Rylee Hladky was voted RMAC Academic Player of the Year.
Â
In addition to Slaninka's first-team nod, Mines added six individuals to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.
Allison Jansen,
Kate Kudlac,
Shannon Perna,
Jada Price,
Hope Storm, and
Rose Stuewe brought the Oredigger contingency to seven total academic honorees. RMAC Academic Honor Roll members all boasted a minimum GPA of 3.30 and at least two active semesters at their respective institutions while using a season of eligibility.
Â
The next postseason awards for Mines volleyball include all-region, and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and Academic All-America. All accolades will be announced at
