GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines Men's and Women's Swimming teams made it an Oredigger sweep of the RMAC Summit Awards at the RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships after Jules Hays won it on the women's side and Saa won it for the men.

It marks the first Summit Award of either Orediggers' career. The honor is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA) at the RMAC Championships. The winner must also have been with the program for two seasons and competed in at least 20 percent of the current season's competitions.

Hays touts an unblemished 4.0 as a quantitative biosciences and engineering major. She also entered the RMAC Swimming & Diving Championships ranking #8 in the conference in the 200-fly. Saa owns a 3.98 GPA as a mechanical engineering major. He sits #8 in the RMAC in the 1650-free, and #11 in the 1000-free. Saa will race the 1000-free during Wednesday evening's session of the championships.
