2023 Mines Football Schedule

GOLDEN, Colo. - The memory of their postseason run to the national final is still fresh on Oredigger fans' minds, but sights are already turning to next fall with the announcement of Colorado School of Mines' 2023 football schedule.

The slate will be a flip of the 2022 schedule, with return legs of non-conference series against Grand Valley State and Angelo State before beginning the nine-game RMAC gauntlet. Mines will host six home games at Alumni Field at Marv Kay Stadium; ticket on-sale information will be announced this spring. 

The season begins with the much-anticipated return game in the Grand Valley State series as the Lakers visit Marv Kay Stadium under the lights on Thursday, Aug. 31 with a 6 p.m. kickoff. It will be the Lakers' first ever visit to Golden. In Week 2, Mines heads back to Angelo State on Sept. 9 for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff in a rematch of the last two Super Region IV finals, reprising what should again be one of the toughest out-of-conference schedules in the nation. Both Grand Valley State and Angelo State finished 2022 in the top 10 of both major polls, as did the Orediggers. 

Mines will begin its quest for a fifth straight RMAC title at home on Sept. 16 with Adams State, and the Orediggers will also host Chadron State (Sept. 30, Homecoming), South Dakota Mines (Sept. 14), Western Colorado (Oct. 28), and New Mexico Highlands (Nov. 4), all with noon kickoffs. Road RMAC games include visits to CSU Pueblo (Sept. 23), Colorado Mesa (Oct. 7), Black Hills State (Oct. 21), and the end of the regular season at Fort Lewis (Nov. 11). The remainder of the RMAC game times will be announced at a later date.
