All-RMAC Teams
COLORADO SPRINGS - A few days out from NCAA Championships, Colorado School of Mines has picked up six all-RMAC wrestling honors as announced by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Grayston DiBlasi (141) and
Anderson Salisbury (197) earned First-Team All-RMAC spots, while four Orediggers -
Weston DiBlasi (133),
Carter Noehre (157),
Levi Farris (174), and
Deandre Rucker (285) - were named honorable mention.
Grayston DiBlasi earns his second straight first-team nod as a sophomore, heading back to this weekend's NCAA Championships with a 27-5 record including a perfect 7-0 RMAC dual mark. DiBlasi scored an impressive 32 of a possible 42 points in those RMAC dual bouts. Overall this season he co-leads the team with 11 falls.
Salisbury has now earned three straight first-team honors as he is set for his fourth consecutive NCAA national meet appearance. The redshirt senior is 21-6 overall and went 6-1 in RMAC duals at 197 pounds; he also owns nine falls this season.
Weston DiBlasi moved between 125 and 133 in his first season with the Orediggers, compiling an 18-8 overall record and 3-2 in RMAC duals, producing 17 dual points. DiBlasi co-leads the team with 11 falls as he gets set for his first NCAA appearance this weekend.
Noehre is now a two-time all-RMAC honoree after battling through injury to go 13-7 overall and qualify for his first NCAA Championships. Noehre was limited to three RMAC dual bouts, going 3-1, and has three falls this season.
Farris is a first-time all-RMAC honoree, earning the starting 174-pound role and going 8-7 with a 3-3 mark in the RMAC. Farris also had a pair of pins this season.
Rucker, a junior in his first season as an Oredigger, elevated to 285 pounds and went 11-12, including 2-4 in RMAC duals. Rucker had three pins to his credit, as well, and scored nine RMAC dual points.
