ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - Colorado School of Mines golfers
Max Lange and
Lukas Taggart began play with round one of the NCAA West/South Central Regional Championship Thursday at Foxtail Golf Club in California.
Playing as individuals, both freshmen had tough rounds to start the tournament as Lange shot a seven-over 79 to be T94 and Taggart is a shot behind at 80 to be T98. They will have a chance to bounce back in Friday's second round with Taggart teeing off in the 12:40 p.m. PT group and Lange in the 1:20 p.m. pairing.
Colorado Christian's Peyton Jones is the 18-hole leader at -6, two shots clear of the field. CCU leads the team race by eight shots at -7.
