PUEBLO, Colo.
- Max Lange and Lukas Taggart secured top-10 finishes to lead Colorado School of Mines to a second-place finish at the Sam Proal Invite at Walking Stick GC.

Lange and Taggart each had their second consecutive top-10s in helping the Orediggers to a second consecutive runner-up showing to begin the season after last weeks Writz at Mile High. Mines held off a hard-charging Fort Lewis for second place, finishing one-under for the day to get to -4. Host #15 CSU Pueblo won going away at -35 after a -16 day led by medalist Colt Tenpenny (-14).

Lange tied for third - his collegiate best finish - at -7 after a final-round 69, bouncing back from a bogey to start the day with an even frontside and then three birdies in the first five holes of his final nine. Taggart came in at 71 to reach -2 and sixth place, responding to consecutive double bogeys on his first two holes to card seven birdies in his round, including one at the finish to get under par.

Owen Cornmesser finished T17 at +3 after a round of 75, while Ethan Adam had his best round of the week with an even-par 72 to rise to T24 at +6. Carter Lolli was Tuesday's non-counter at 76, finishing 34th at +11.

Among Mines' three individuals, Lucas Schulte led the way at T27 (+8) following a 74, Theodore Reitter carded 77 for 30th (+9), and Charlie Tran came in T39 (+14) after a final-round 81.

Mines returns to action Oct. 2-3 at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite in Amarillo, Texas.
